Hey everyone!
There are so many “nude” palettes out there, it’s insane. After the infamous Urban Decay Naked palette made its debut, there have been many more companies come out with their version of it.
Being the makeup lover I am, I had to jump on the bandwagon and purchase one to see what all the hype was about!
If you guys are all familiar with the Urban Decay brand, you know it’s quite pricey, the Naked palette retails for $50, great palette and great quality, but a bit steep on price.
So, today I will be reviewing a great alternative for the UD Naked palette, it’s not technically a “dupe” but it’s priced a bit better; The Balm’s NUDE’tude palette, which retails for $36.
It also contains an array of nude eyeshadows, both shimmery and matte colors. Let’s jump into pictures and the review, enjoy!!

*how cute are the names?*
Overall Application | These shadows are super silky and smooth, they glide very well over the eye lid and they blend very well—good sign of a great eyeshadow!
Overall Color | The color payoff of these shades is amazing! They are very rich and concentrated. Paired with a good base, they pop even more.
Overall Formula | Like I said before, they are blendable…that is a good sign of great formulation. They are also very opaque and true to color.
Overall Packaging | I LOVE all of The Balm’s packaging, they have so many cute things—I’m drawn to cute packaging–but this is a travel friendly palette. It has a big mirror, and it includes a mini double ended brush.
Overall Scent | Not applicable–I don’t think I’ve come across scented eyeshadows? Have you?
Overall Wear | Alone, they wear great, but paired with a base or eyelid primer, they wear even better. I have oily skin–even my eyelids get oily–and with a primer I don’t have a problem with creasing, wearing off, or becoming patchy.
this was the best picture I could get, sorry…the lighting doesn’t do it justice
Final Thoughts
Overall I am very happy with my palette, it definitely compares to other “nude” eyeshadow palettes. And it’s a bit more inexpensive! Who doesn’t like that?
I find myself reaching for this palette a handful of times, it comes with a great, universal matte brown and a few other matte shades that are great for everyday looks. However, you can also vamp up your look with this palette for a great smoky, night time eye look!
There is not a bad shade in the bunch, I really like and enjoy them all.
I hope you guys liked this review and found it helpful! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, until next time, stay gorgeous!
