Today I’m bringing you guys the third installment to my new series, From Pinterest to Your Closet. I’ve shared a beautiful burgundy and blush outfit, as well as a few fall street style looks previously. In case you’re a little behind or new here, From Pinterest to Your Closet is a series where I take popular outfit pins that basically take you no where…and then I find pieces that are similar and replicate the outfit for BOTH regular and plus-sized women. So I’m basically doing all the hard work for ya.
I wanted to do outfits that were still fall related but a little more on the dressier side…but I decided to stick with plaid instead. Plaid is HUGE during the fall…because, why not!? It’s such a pretty pattern and something about it is so cozy. However, it can be a bit harder to pull off when you are on the curvier side, but what when layered and added in accessories, it works out really well.
All three outfits are pretty simple but they are so appropriate for fall and I think they can transition you right into winter by just adding a few warmer pieces and switching out scarves.
Such a simple and easy outfit to throw together, yet it makes such an impact with the pattern and color mixing. I’m terrible when it comes to patter mixing, so this makes it super simple. The buffalo plaid top really pops and goes so well with the military jacket.

THIS! I need this entire outfit in my closet ASAP! For someone who is top heavy, I think switching out the cable knit sweater for a lighter option would work best, since there is a lot of layering going on. Can we talk about her beanie, I immediately fell in love with it, but I wasn’t so lucky finding one exactly like hers…

I’ll just start off by saying that finding a dress that was similar in color to the one she’s wearing was HARD! It’s not quite burgundy, definitely not orange…and not really brown either. Thankfully this look is very versatile so just about any color of dress will work. The one’s linked below come in a variety of colors. Add in some tights and a cropped jacket, and this will take you right into winter time.
