Hey friends!!
Welcome back! Today’s post is all about what I have been loving for the past month. What have you guys been loving this month?
I decided to go a bit out of my comfort zone this month by experimenting with different eye looks. I opted for purples and pinks for a fun, flirty summery look, and I’m glad I did. It’s always fun to play with makeup.
I challenge you guys to try new things with makeup, after all, that is what makeup is all about right? It’s a way to express ourselves, makeup is freedom—always have fun with it. Don’t be afraid to try new things, I often times find myself doing my makeup just to experiment with new looks. Try it!
End soapbox, here’s a look at the products I reached for the most this month! Enjoy!!
Wet n Wild Color Icon | Petal Pusher
Talk about purple!! I purchased this palette after hearing Emily Noel’s reviews on her YouTube Channel, y’all should check her out, she has amazing reviews on products.
I had never really even taken a second look at the Wet n Wild section, it just never drew me in. After purchasing this palette, I was shocked! The pigmentation is amazing for the price, and the shadows are really creamy, and blend really well. I was quite surprised!
If you are on the hunt for inexpensive shadows, I recommend you check these out, they also carry trios!
Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo | Inked in Pink
Now this color alone can be a bit scary. Pinks worn alone tend to make you look sick, and that’s not what we are going for. But paired with a great transition color and an outer v color, you’ve got a great go-to eye look!
I’m loving these color tattoos, they are very comparable to high-end cream shadows. They don’t crease–even without a primer–and they are long-wearing, great for summer days!
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil | 604 Milk
This is a great base when you want colors to stay and pop! I also love it on the waterline to give that “awake” look–I suffer from insomnia, so anything to make me look awake works–and it makes the white of your eyes whiter. It can be a bit harsh if too much is worn, so a light hand is best when applying it on the waterline.
Chella Highlighter | Ivory Lace
I love this on the waterline as well! It gives you a fresh look. I also highlight my brow bone and the inner corner of my eyes, it’s a great for lighter skin tones.
L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara | Carbon Black
This mascara is ahhh-mazing! I think I found my new holy grail mascara to replace my CoverGirl Lash Blast! This lengthens lashes and separates them well.
The wand is tiny and a bit flimsy, but don’t let it fool you, it’s great!!
Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream | Light-Medium
Texas heat is horrible, so for days I wanted to skip foundation, I reached for this. I would say this is a light to medium coverage BB Cream. I like to apply it with a Beauty Blender, I find that to be the best way to do so.
I have oily skin in the summer, so I purchased the shine-free formula–it works really well with my skin.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser | Light
This concealer has ingredients in it to help reduce puffiness as well as help “erase” dark circles. It has some high claims! I have a bad case of DARK under eye circles, it’s hereditary unfortunately, so I haven’t seen much of a difference in that. However, I love this concealer because it does a great job at concealing my dark under eyes, without caking it up.
It’s very creamy and blendable. The downside–not many shades to choose from.
Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Blush | Sweet Cheeks
I think I wore this blush EVERYDAY! It’s a pale pink blush with the slightest amount of shimmer, but it’s so pigmented. It gives a great flushed, fresh look.
Revlon Lip Butter | Sweet Tart
I have been obsessed with Revlon Lip Butters! They start out a little sheer but can be built up for more color payoff. They are so moisturizing on the lips and really comfortable too. I definitely recommend these if you are a bit weary of dark lipsticks, they have a great color variety.
Nivea Lip Butter | Raspberry Rose Kiss
I use this mainly before bed, it’s a great moisturizer and the smell is delicious! I can’t get enough of it. It can be worn alone or underneath any matte, drying lipsticks for a great balm feel.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post and found it helpful! Until next time!
xoxo, Lily
