In case you missed my post explaining what Beauty Crown is all about, you can find that here.
The Beauty Crown Awards are a yearly favorites collaborative effort including beauty bloggers around the globe. The Beauty Crown Awards were created by Lily from Beauty with Lily Liz from My Pretty Obsessions, Jackie from Five Two Certified, and Shalunya from Shalunya & Boyet. We felt that a collaborative effort from a large number of beauty bloggers would be much more interesting to our readers and would garner more attention. The Beauty Crown Awards are a 5 week event with each week covering types of products.
Week 1 – Personal Care Products – Dec 2 – Dec 8, 2013
Week 2 – Facial Products – Dec 9 – Dec 15, 2013
Week 3 – Lip & Nail Products – Dec 16 – Dec 22, 2013
Week 4 – Eye & Misc Products – Dec 23 – Dec 29, 2013
Week 5 – Facial Care Products & Tools – Dec 30 – Jan 4, 2014
Week 2 of the Beauty Crown Awards covers Face Products. Below are my Week 2 selections:
FACE
Primer | Benefit The Porefessional
-I have been using this primer religiously for months now and I couldn’t be happier with it. I definitely think it helps keep my shininess at bay, while minimizing my pores. It leaves my skin feeling extremely smooth! I have a review on it, which you can find here.
BB Cream | Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream
-For no-fuss makeup days or my “no makeup makeup” days I like to reach for this BB Cream. I use the Oily/Combination Skin formula, I think it works really well on my oily skin. I do set it with a powder. It gives the right amount of coverage I want to look decent, but it’s definitely not a full-coverage cream.
Foundation | CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1
-This was hard, I absolutely LOVE this foundation as well as my Revlon Colorstay and Clinique Even Better foundations. The CoverGirl foundation took this because of how well it works on my shiny face. For a drugstore foundation, this works amazingly well! I would buy it even if it cost way more money…that’s how much I love it! I find that for me, this foundation applies best with a damp Beauty Blender, it gives me medium to full coverage. I can’t rave enough about how much I love this foundation.
Powder | Clinique Stay Matte Pressed Powder
-I have been using this powder for years now! It has specks of shimmer, but once it goes on, they are not visible. The shimmer is there to help keep your face matte. I will continue to repurchase this product over and over again. I love Clinique products!
Concealer | MAC ProLongwear Concealer
-So far this is one of the only concealers that helps with my zombie-fied eyes! I have horrible dark undereye circles, and this concealer does the trick. It’s a creaseless concealer and super long wearing.
———-
Brightener | Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser in Brightener
–I don’t use a brightener on an everyday basis, but when I do, I like to reach for this one by Maybelline. It’s a pink-ish brightener and it works well against my skin tone, nothing too bright, just right.
———-
Blush | MAC Springsheen and theBalm Frat Boy
-I couldn’t pick just one, so I went with my beloved MAC blush, I love this so much, I have hit pan on it. I think this shade is universally flattering, perfect for anyone. Simply gorgeous! My second favorite blush is from theBalm, Frat Boy is a peachy pink, satin finish blush. It’s perfect for everyday use and long wearing.
———-
Bronzer | NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
-Honestly, I’m not big into bronzing, I’m slowly working my way to bronzing my face. I really have enjoyed this NYC bronzer, it’s not too dark, not too orange, and it’s matte. And the price is great!
———-
Highlighter | theBalm MaryLou-Manizer
-This highlight is simply divine, so gorgeous!! It does not have chunks of glitter, but it gives such a pretty glow.
———-
Palette | I don’t own any face palettes.
