So now that Winter is in full swing, I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you lovelies, what my top nail polish picks are for this season.
I like to stick with darker colors for winter. I like my reds, purples, and blues, but I know not everyone likes dark colors, so I’ve included a neutral that I have been loving!
I also have my top five picks for fall, which you can find here.
Five Winter Nail Polishes
Essie | Blue Rhapsody
This color reminds me so much of an icy cold day, weird I know, but to me it’s perfect for winter. It’s one of the lighter colors I have listed as my top five favorite nail lacquers. In the picture below, I used one coat to paint my nails…no base or top coat was used. It’s a really nice opaque color with a nice sheen to it.
Wet N Wild Megalast | Haze of Love
This is a newer color for me, but I’m in love with it. It’s a brick red shade that looks quite different on different skin tones, nonetheless, it’s gorgeous. Below I have 2 coats of polish on my nails, no base or top coat.
Essie | Fishnet Stockings
Fishnet Stockings is a deep, true red shade, perfect for any skin tone. I used 2 coats when I applied this shade…no base or top coat, very opaque and you guys know I am a sucker for Essie polishes. The formula is by far one of my favorites!
This is my only Milani nail polish and I really like the formula. It’s a bit thinner than most of the polishes I have, but it’s not a sheer, thin formula. It did take 2 coats to get my desired color, I didn’t use a base or top coat in the picture below. This shade is a dark, deep purple color, it has a sheen of a lighter metallic purple. It’s one of those colors that looks different in different lighting.
Russian Navy is a dark navy shade, it almost looks black. When you are out in the sun, it has a metallic purple-ish, blue sheen to it. I applied 2 coats of this polish, no base or top coat.
Milani’s Deep Thoughts looks similar to Russian Navy in the pictures, but trust me, they are not that close in color when side by side. I tried taking the pictures under different lighting, but they just weren’t coming out good.

Wet N Wild Megalast | Sugar Coat
For my gals that perfect more neutral shades, I think this one by Wet N Wild is perfect! It’s an off white, creamy color with a pink undertone to it. This shade is a bit streaky, it took 3 coats to get a nice opaque look, but I didn’t use a base coat, maybe a base would help.
Hope you ladies enjoyed this post and maybe found some new polishes to try!
What are your favorite colors to wear in the winter?
Until next time beauties!
