Hey guys, happy Tuesday!
Today’s post is a bit different than my usual, but something very fun!
Kendra Thornton, a travel expert, reached out to me and offered me a fashion challenge, that I couldn’t pass up!
Hope you guys enjoy this post!
Kendra is a travel expert, who has been featured on television shows like Tyra Banks and Nate Berkus. She is a mom on the go, who doesn’t pay much attention to fashion or the latest trends.
Here’s the challenge!
Dressed For the City!
I have been so involved in planning the trip and finding just the right things to see and do that I have neglected my wardrobe. I am mom with 3 children, so clothes have not really been that important in recent years. I pay more attention to the latest Disney movies than the latest fashion trends. Going to New York City has left me a bit afraid to pack for my trip. To get some much needed fashion advice, I have created the Kendra Fashion Challenge to get some ideas of the outfits I need to buy before packing.
While visiting the city, my friends and I are planning on dancing the night away at Le Bain. This is one of the hottest discothèques in the city located in the penthouse of the Standard High Line Hotel. Here, we will dance to some of the hottest tunes played by some of the best DJs from around the country. This trendy club has a plunge pool in the center of the dance floor in the summer months for guests to play and frolic. After dancing for a while, we can take a break while enjoying crepe in the “grass” that covers the rooftop. When we arrive at Le Bain, I want everyone to stop and stare, because I look amazing not because I look like a fashion disaster.
When visiting a city like New York, I know that the city has its own vibe and sense of style. I want to look like I belong and not like an ordinary tourist. When seeing a show at Radio City Music Hall or visiting the Standard High Line Hotel, one of the most luxurious in the city, I want to look my best so that I feel my best. It was difficult to come up with just the right itinerary with a group of going, so I turned to my trusted source for travel reviews, gogobot.com. On gogobot.com, I find reviews from people who have recently visited the places I am interested in seeing. Their invaluable advice was just what we needed to make our final choices!
How fun does this sound!?! I immediately started brainstorming — when I think of NYC I think of sophisticated, fun, trendy and looks with pops of color. I came up with a few looks, let’s check them out!

I can honestly say this was a bit of a challenge, since everyone’s style and taste are different and well…let’s face it, NYC is such a fabulous city, it has a style of it’s own!
I hope you all enjoyed this and maybe found some inspiration!
