Hey there beauties! It’s time for my monthly subscription showdown between Ipsy and Birchbox!
You’ll be surprised at the goodies in this months services! Keep reading to find out…
So by now I hope you know a little bit about Birchbox and Ipsy–maybe you’ve subscribed! But in case you’re new to my blog, here’s a little bit of info.
Birchbox — is a beauty subscription box filled with lifestyle and beauty sample or full-sized products for $10 a month. The great thing about Birchbox is you can earn points every month by reviewing the products you received that month, and you can use those points towards full-size products. You can also earn points by referring friends–that’s why I share my link with you guys!
Ipsy — is also a beauty subscription bag filled with beauty sample or full-sized products also for $10 a month. You earn ipsyPoints each time someone you referred subscribes and you get an extra goodie in your bag for the following month. Just recently, they added the same feature as Birchbox, now you also get points for reviewing your products. They also provide coupon codes or discounts for the products they featured that month!

The Verdict
Overall, I’m really pleased with both subscriptions this month. I like the variety of products I received, along with the brands. With Birchbox, I’m especially excited to try the Liz Earle Cleansing Kit…I’ve heard some great things. As far as the hair products, those went to my mom. I don’t have dry or frizzy hair, so I passed those on to her. And the Laqa & Co crayon is my favorite! The color is a nice, sheer coral that’s very shiny and moisturizing. I love it SO much, I might just purchase another color.
Ipsy was also good this month, I’m excited to try out the mascara and eyebrow pencil…two of my favorite things to try. The NYX Butter Gloss is a nice add on as well, I already own this shade, but I’m sure someone else will get some good use out of it. I’ve only tried one other beach spray, by Sexy Hair…I wasn’t a fan of it, but I’ll give this one a try for sure, it smells divine!
As far as the winner….well, it’s hard to pick, so I’m giving it a tie! Both services did a great job this month!!
