I started this series earlier this year because I have one too many samples laying around. (See the first post here.) Thankfully, a lot of you seemed to enjoy it, so I’m back with my second post. I tried another 4 products and I’m here to share my thoughts and if I would, or wouldn’t purchase a full-size.
The two “moisturizers” were used for about 2 weeks each, at different times. Both products are almost out and ready to be tossed.
- Sephora Honey Eye Mask – $5
- Nourishes and soothes the fine, delicate skin around eyes for instant relief and a velvety-soft, replenished, and balanced eye contour.
- My Thoughts | These eye masks did a good job at moisturizing my under eye area and left them feeling supple and soft.
- Final Verdict | A little pricey for one pair, but I would purchase for special occasions.
- Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ – $26
- A fast-absorbing, lightweight daily moisturizer for dry to combination skin types.
- My Thoughts | First off, I have oily skin, so I think this would work better with those that have normal skin. I don’t think this would be a good product if you have severe dry skin; I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it.
- Final Verdict | No, I would not purchase a full-size.
- Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb – $85
- This floral explosion releases a profusion of flowers that has the power to make everything seem more positive. Magically evocative notes immediately awaken your deepest senses, giving you the impression of living life in your own secret garden, away from reality. Sambac jasmine, centifolia rose, cattleya orchid, and ballerina freesia bloom on a base of patchouli.
- My Thoughts | I had heard nothing but amazing things about this fragrance, so my expectations where high…wow, I fell in LOVE with it! Such a sexy perfume and it doesn’t give me a headache! Yay!
- Final Verdict | I would DEFINITELY purchase a full-size!
- dr. Brandt Anti-Aging Mattifying Lotion – $61
- This complex is infused with apple stem cells to help delay the natural signs of aging. Simultaneously, retinol supports the natural process of cell turnover and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The blend brilliantly controls excess oil and mattifies shine for a flawlessly clean look.
- My Thoughts | All of the dr. Brandt products I have tried, I have loved. This one however, did not wow me. I did not see this product mattifying my shininess at all.
- Final Verdict | No, I would not purchase a full-size.
That’s it for today, thanks for stopping by!
