This has to be the first year that I have NO idea what I’m going to gift my sweet mom for Mother’s Day! Last year, I ordered her gift months in advance and this year, I can’t seem to get my life together for a minute to buy her a gift. So, with it fast approaching, I thought I would put together a few gift ideas that are practical AND affordable!
Real Techniques Deluxe Gift Set | For Christmas, one of the gifts I gave my mom was a set of Sonia Kashuk brushes…she LOVES them. She likes makeup, but she’s the type of mom who will avoid buying herself things because she would rather give. Yep, that’s my momma! I knew that a brush set that was simple and easy to use would be beneficial for her. She would not know what to do with a fan brush or a duofiber brush!
FitBit ZipTM Activity Tracker | From personal experience, my mom isn’t that tech savvy…so if I gifted her one of the fancier FitBit’s she wouldn’t get a ton of use out of it. So this smaller version is much better and can be attached to your bra strap, pants or shirt. PS – It’s a little bit over $50…but I just had to include it. 😉
Swell Stainless Steel Water Bottle | Because who doesn’t want a pretty gold water bottle?! Okay…in all seriousness, these bottles are amazing! I have one and I love how cold it keeps my water…I actually drink more because of it. Great for moms who are on the go and super cute too!
Acrylic Cosmetic Organizer | Some acrylic organizers can run up in the $200’s range…and that’s just a bit ridiculous, in my opinion. This particular one is wonderful because it has the perfect amount of storage for essentials. Great to keep on the bathroom counter or vanity.
James Avery Mother’s Love Charm | Definitely the least practical of the bunch, but I wanted to include this because we gave the ring versions as Mother’s Day Gifts last year to my mom and mother-in-law. They LOVE them and wear them on a daily basis. They have charms, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Surely you can find something that will fit your mom’s lifestyle.
That about wraps it up for both practical and affordable gift ideas! I love giving gifts and I think it’s even better when the person will actually use the gift on a day to day basis. I might do a second gift idea for gifts under $100…let me know if it’s something you’d like to see.

Have you decided what you are giving your mom?
PS – A little unrelated to this blog…but in case you didn’t know, I do have an Infertility Blog. This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, infertility is usually a silent battle. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I encourage you to head on over to my other blog…
