Y’all, I have made the mistake decision to go on a no-spend in February! I chose February purposely because it’s a short month, so I’m hoping it will be easier on me. But on a serious note, I really want to cut back on buying products I don’t need. I have way too much makeup and just too much stuff in general. I recently read Christine’s (from Simply Stine) post on becoming a minimalist and it really hit home. I don’t see myself becoming a minimalist anytime soon but I don want to declutter and not buy just to buy. Now, that’s a post for another day, but I highly recommend everyone read Christine’s take on this, it’s such a good read!
So, since I won’t be buying anything new for awhile, I figured I would share what products I may purchase, once my no-spend is over.
But, before we begin, did y’all notice a difference? Beauty With Lily has gotten a makeover! I have been working with my designer for a few months now and I’m in love with what she created for me. I had a vision and she made it come to life! If you are looking for someone to work with, I highly recommend Maria from Lovely Paris Designs, she is a total sweetheart and will work with you until you are in love with the end result. I still have a few things I need to play around with and move, so bare with me as we go through this process.
Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette >>> When I first saw the reveal of this palette on Snapchat, I wasn’t overly excited, but the more I see it, the more I want it. Especially because of all the beautiful matte shades. I mean, those first 3 rows are just speaking to me!
Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick >>> You all probably know by now that I am very picky when it comes to liquid lipsticks, but I’m really interested in seeing how this formula works. Urban Decay has never disappointed me!
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Kim KW >>> I don’t own anything from this brand and I’m not sure why (probably because it’s kinda pricey) but it’s a brand that I often forget about. This lipstick is inspired by Kim Kardashian West. Now normally the entire Kardashian craze doesn’t phase me, but this lipstick shade looks gorgeous! I’m not entirely sure that this color would work on my skin tone though.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Blush in Papa Don’t Peach >>> I’m all about a good blush and if it smells like peaches, sign me up! From the swatches I’ve seen, this looks like a beautiful everyday blush.
Charlotte Tilbury ‘Filmstar Bronze & Glow’ Face Sculpt & Highlight >>> I’m the type of person that has to swatch a product before shelling out over $60 on a product. I mean, it’s only fair right? Since we don’t have access to any Charlotte Tilbury products where I live, I can’t swatch this beauty. But the sculpting shade looks like the perfect color for my skin tone.
Let It Blow! DryBar To Go Ultimate Essentials Kit >>> I think I may have already mentioned to you guys that my current hair dryer is like 10 years old…seriously, it’s lasted me a LONG time and it’s still going strong. But I would like to eventually buy a new one — and not only is this DryBar hair dryer super cute…this kit comes with a few added bonuses!
