Accessories can really make an outfit and they can also completely change a look up. If you remember, last year I shared a few accessories that were budget friendly and on trend. Because trends come and go — so it’s better to save your money for essential wardrobe pieces versus splurging on a trendy piece.
I have to say — finding items that are affordable can be hard, especially when you include shoes and bags, but I was successful and found tons of things that are under $55!
Bright, colorful jewelry is sticking around this year, along with tassels and pom poms — it only took me a year, but I’m finally digging the pom poms. But honestly, spending upwards of $30 for a pair of earrings with fluffy balls is a bit unreasonable, don’tcha think? Kallie from But First, Coffee actually DIY’d the cutest pair of earrings with pink pom poms, for under $3!!
Genius, right!? I need to make some in every bright color! Along with pom pom jewelry, big jewel-toned cocktail rings will be trending this year. Now for shoes, flat and heeled mules are coming back — not sure how I feel about mules, do you like them?
You see a trend? Pom poms everywhere! Backpacks came around last year as well and they are sticking around. Skinny patterned scarves and boho-esque floral headbands are going to be a popular trend this year.
A lot of the trends from 2016 are staying around, but there are a few new things that are popping up this year. Personally, I’m loving a lot of these cool accessories, I am looking for a cute backpack that isn’t too small or too big and I think I need to add some pom pom sneakers to my closet.
