Since I try so many new products regularly, I wanted to share what my picks are for a few drugstore brands. So I decided to start with one of my absolute favorites, Maybelline. They cater to so many different needs and are super affordable.
I could share tons of products, but I really wanted to narrow it down to the best! So let’s jump right into it, shall we?
Face
I’ll admit, when it comes to drugstore primers I am a bit on the fence, due to my sensitive and acne-prone skin, I guess I feel the same way about foundations too. But the Blur + Smooth Primer, along with the Matte + Poreless Foundation, you are set to have a flawless and affordable base. If you happen to have dry skin, don’t worry, they have products for you too the Blur + Illuminate Primer and the Dewy + Smooth Foundation. I’ve had the best luck with all Maybelline concealers, I would go as far as saying that they are probably the best in the drugstore! My favorites, FaceStudio Master Conceal, Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser, and the Fit Me Concealer. On to cheek products, I actually haven’t tried too many, but the one product that I always recommend is the Blush Color + Highlight Kit — if you don’t own it, you are missing out– it’s SO good! Perfect to travel with, is not powdery and is super pigmented.
Eyes
When it comes to eye products, especially mascaras, I pretty much stick to L’Oreal products. But there are a couple of eye products that I really like from Maybelline. For a good gel liner, their Drama Gel Liner is a good choice. The little brush that is included isn’t the best, but overall the liner itself is awesome. And for mascara, I really like and recommend The Falsies Push Up Mascara — it holds a curl really well and doesn’t flake. Also, for good eyeshadows, I am pretty impressed with their Blushed Nudes Palette, it’s not the best quality out there, but it’s a decent palette for under $10.
Lips
Moving on to my favorite, lipsticks! I love, love, love Maybelline’s lipsticks, along with their concealers, I’ve had amazing luck with them and they have to be my all time favorite drugstore finds. I’ve been a huge fan of their entire Creamy Matte lipsticks, so I highly recommend them, along with their Inti-Matte Nudes collection. If you are more of a liquid lipstick kind of gal, then the Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks might work for you. However, they aren’t entirely matte, but still last a long time. For glossy choices, recently I’ve been LOVING their new Vivid Hot Lacquer Lip Glosses, they are so nice and moisturizing and not sticky at all. For something with a bit more color payoff, the Color Jolt Lip Paints are the way to go.
