Hi friends! I’m back today sharing another makeup look along with a quick brush review of some new brushes I was recently sent. For today’s look, I went for a classic bridal makeup look — if I could go back and re-do my wedding makeup, I would have my makeup artist do this look on me. Actually, I think I would have just done my own makeup — but then again, back then I wasn’t the best at makeup. Anyway, let’s get on with this review and makeup look.
For this makeup look, I used a set of new line of brushes that Artis brushes recently came out with, the BrushCraft Collection. These have the similar shape of other Artis brushes and the engineered fibers and fibre bundles apply makeup beautifully and efficiently. The handles are a matte black with a soft touch finish.
To apply my foundation, I used the Oval 7 brush. I was expecting this to apply my foundation in a cake-y way but it did the opposite, it applied it so well without any streak marks. I then used the Oval 3 brush to apply concealer underneath my eyes, I LOVE it. So soft, gentle and blends it perfectly — this could also be used to apply an all over color onto the eyelids.
I decided to go for a cream blush to test out the Oval 6 brush and it applied it so well and naturally. I would recommend to set the cream blush with a powder blush to make it last longer — especially for bridal makeup. To sculpt my nose a bit, I used the Circle 1R brush, this could also be used to apply eyeshadow, spot conceal or even for your lips.
Lastly, for a subtle winged liner I decided to use a black eyeshadow instead of an actual eyeliner. So I used the Linear 1 brush with a black shadow and I have to say, it’s my new favorite way to do this technique!
My overall thoughts on this collection — it’s really nice and I would definitely recommend the Oval 7, Oval 3 and the Linear 1 brush.
When I think of a classic bridal makeup look this is what I envision — a bit of shimmer, a hint of darkness, and a nude glossy lip.
What do you envision when you think of a classic bridal look?
