Hey friends! Today I’m bringing you a full review of the newest Hourglass foundation. I actually did a first impression 12 hour wear test on Instagram Stories last week, I saved it on my Highlights, so feel free to go watch it, if you missed it.
Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation Review
Price: $56 | Full Coverage | 32 Shades | Natural Finish | Recommended for Normal, Combination & Oily Skin
[otw_shortcode_quote border_style=”bordered”]This highly-concentrated formula provides full coverage with minimal product. It applies like a second skin, creating a smooth and flawless complexion. Light-reflecting microspheres blur and create a soft-focus finish. The noncomedogenic formula is waterproof, transfer-proof, and sweat-proof. — Sephora site[/otw_shortcode_quote]
As you can see above, the first picture is of my natural skin, no product besides primer. Yes, I still wore a primer underneath, I’ve tried it without a primer and I wasn’t a fan. The second picture, I’m wearing foundation on the right hand side (my left size) and on the last picture, I am wearing it on both sides, no concealer. I have a lot of freckles, acne scarring on my chin and beside my nose. I used a Real Techniques Sponge to apply it, I have used the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush and it did not give me as much coverage as the sponge did.
Hourglass claims to give you full coverage, with just half a pump. I used a full pump to get the above coverage. I purchased the shade Shell, which is a light color, with neutral undertones. It’s the perfect color for me — it does not oxidize on me either.

So what are my final thoughts of the Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation? I really like it! Hourglass doesn’t claim that this is a long-wearing foundation, so I wouldn’t be wearing longer than 8 hours anymore. After 8 hours it starts to move around my nose and it does settle just a bit on my smile lines. But once I bake a little bit, it isn’t as bad. Overall, I do like this foundation and recommend it to those looking to splurge and want a natural finish, full coverage foundation. Otherwise, there are just as good options at the drugstore.
Have you tried this foundation? What’s your current favorite foundation?
