Hi friends! I’m finally back…I ended up testing positive for COVID, so I took some time off to rest and recover. I’m not 100% back to myself yet, but I’m slowly getting there. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things now.
Morning Habits to Jumpstart Your Day
Getting up most mornings can be a hassle, but if you implement a few positive morning habits to jumpstart your day, it can instantly turn your day into a good one. So let’s go ahead and get started!
Avoid The Snooze Button // Sometimes getting that extra 5-10 minutes of sleep can feel heavenly, but it actually makes it harder to get up this way. You’ll be extra groggy and slow. Don’t hit the snooze button…make it a habit to get up once your alarm goes off.
Hydrate // Start off each AM with a glass of lemon water. This helps flush your system and it gives you a boost of hydration to get your body going. Drinking water early in the morning, also helps speed up your metabolism.
Affirmations // I’m not normally a super positive person…but I’m trying to be better about it. One way to start doing so, is by starting your day off with positive affirmations. This can really set the mood for your entire day. A few examples of morning affirmations are: “I accept myself just as I am,” “Today is full of endless opportunities,” “I will be kind to myself today.”
Skip The Phone // Have you noticed just how much time you waste on your phone in the mornings? I’ve started leaving my phone on my nightstand and don’t grab it, until I’m ready to walk out the door. I can spend anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes on it…that’s extra time I can be productive!
